Never miss a deadline again: Keep your ELVIDA events in check!

Introduction

With ELVIDA Assist Premium, you have the opportunity to conveniently integrate your important events and reminders into your calendar. This way, you will never miss important deadlines or appointments, whether it’s about taxes, insurance, or contracts. In this blog post, we will show you how to display your ELVIDA events in Google, Apple, or Outlook.

Requirements

  • ELVIDA account with Assist Premium (Trialing/Active)
  • At least one event in ELVIDA (helpful for testing)
  • About 2–5 minutes of your time

Important beforehand

  • The calendar link is like a password: whoever has it can see your event titles.
  • Google & Co. often update subscriptions only every few hours – not immediately.
  • For security reasons, ELVIDA shows the link only once. Later, you can regenerate and display the link, which will invalidate the old link.

Part 1: Get the private calendar link in ELVIDA

Option A – from the dashboard (events)

  1. Log in to app.elvida.app.
  2. Go to "Overview (Events)" or "Assist → Events".
  3. Tap on "Show in my calendar".
  4. The dialog "Events in your calendar" will open.

Option B – via Profile → Settings

  1. Open "Profile → Settings".
  2. Scroll to the "Calendar" card.
  3. There, you manage the same private feed (without extra dialog).

Create link (first time)

  • Choose where you want to connect:
    • Google Calendar
    • Apple Calendar
    • Outlook / others
  • Or tap "Create calendar link".
  • ELVIDA will show "Your calendar link" (typically ending in .ics).
  • Tap "Copy link".

Optional:

  • Switch "Also show reminders" – by default, only events.
  • Under "What will be shared?" you can see the privacy details.

Part 2: Google Calendar

On the computer (recommended)

  1. Copy the link in ELVIDA.
  2. Open Google Calendar in your browser (best in Chrome/Safari on your laptop).
  3. Click the + under "Other calendars" on the left.
  4. Choose "Add by URL" / "From URL".
  5. Paste the link from ELVIDA.
  6. Click on "Add calendar".
  7. Done! The calendar will appear on the left under "Other calendars" (name e.g. ELVIDA).

Tip: In ELVIDA, there is a shortcut "Open Google Calendar (add by URL)" – then you just need to paste.

On the smartphone (Android / iOS)

The Google Calendar app often cannot create subscriptions via URL by itself:

  1. First connect on the computer as described above.
  2. Open the Google Calendar app on your phone and refresh it.
  3. The ELVIDA calendar will appear if the same Google account is active.

Update & display

  • New/changed events in ELVIDA often appear only after hours.
  • Color/name: in Google Calendar → Calendar settings → ELVIDA.
  • Remove: Calendar settings → ELVIDA → Unsubscribe / remove.
  • Optionally, also "Disconnect" in ELVIDA.

Part 3: Apple Calendar (iPhone / iPad)

Quick way (from ELVIDA)

  • In ELVIDA, select Apple Calendar.
  • Copy the link or tap "Open in Apple Calendar" (webcal://…).
  • iOS will ask if you want to add the subscription → "Add subscription" / "Add".
  • Optional: Choose account (iCloud recommended for syncing across all devices).
  • Confirm.

Manually on iPhone / iPad

  1. Copy the link in ELVIDA.
  2. Open app settings (system settings, not the calendar app).
  3. Calendar → Accounts → Add account.
  4. Other → Add calendar subscription.
  5. Paste the copied link in the server field (with https://…).
  6. Next → optionally description “ELVIDA” → Save.

Check

  • Open the Calendar app.
  • Tap "Calendars" at the bottom.
  • ELVIDA should be listed (checkmark active).

Part 4: Outlook

Outlook in the browser (outlook.live.com / Microsoft 365)

  1. Copy the link in ELVIDA.
  2. Open Outlook Calendar.
  3. Click on "Add calendar" (or Add calendar) on the left.
  4. "Subscribe from web" / Subscribe from web.
  5. Paste the link.
  6. Give it a name (e.g. ELVIDA) → Import / Import.

Outlook Desktop (Windows / Mac, newer versions)

  1. Open calendar view.
  2. Add calendar → From the Internet / From Internet.
  3. Paste the link → confirm.

Outlook Mobile

Similar to Google: Subscription often only reliably created via web, then made visible on the phone in the same account.

Part 5: Other calendars

  • Thunderbird: Copy the link, Thunderbird → Calendar, right-click in the calendar list → New calendar, On the network → iCalendar (ICS), paste the link → name “ELVIDA” → done.
  • Samsung Calendar / other Android apps: Many apps cannot handle URL subscriptions. Practical: Connect with Google Calendar (Web) or with an app that offers “Subscribe by URL / ICS”.

What you see in the calendar (and what not)

  • Visible: Event title, date (all-day), optional reminders (if activated).
  • Not visible: Documents / PDFs, amounts, partners, OCR, internal ELVIDA links.

Frequently asked questions

  • Why can’t I see anything yet?
    • Subscriptions are updated with a delay. Wait a few hours or check the next day.
  • I lost the link.
    • In ELVIDA: "Regenerate & display link" → remove the old calendar in Google/Apple/Outlook → subscribe again with the new link.
  • Is it safe?
    • Yes, as long as you keep the link private. If you suspect anything, reset access immediately or disconnect.
  • Does it work without Premium?
    • No – the calendar integration is an ELVIDA Assist Premium feature.
  • Can I use the same link on my phone and laptop?
    • Yes. One subscription (e.g. Google or iCloud) is enough; the provider syncs the devices.

Final checklist

  • Create and copy link in ELVIDA
  • Add as URL subscription in Google / Apple / Outlook
  • Wait briefly for events to appear
  • Never share the link
  • If changing devices or leak: regenerate the link in ELVIDA
